Lisa Swerling’s Glass Cathedrals comprise glass-fronted boxes housing miniature figures. There’s something about the scale of these scenes that resonates in a strangely powerful way; the heroism, humour, wistfulness and aspirations of the tiny protagonists are somehow amplified beyond proportion.
My Life in Art exhibit Glass Cathedrals twice a year, at the Battersea AAF in March and the Hampstead AAF in November. New titles are introduced at each fair and often the artist can be commissioned to modify certain features in accordance with the client’s specification.
