Arnout van Albada lives and works in Groningen, The Netherlands. He graduated from Groningen based Minerva Art Academy in 1993. Since then he exhibited in his home country, Italy, USA and now for the first time in the UK through My Life in Art.
Van Albada carefully builds up his paintings in layers. From a coloured base to monochrome underpainting made with egg tempera. The work is then further elaborated with numerous semi-transparent layers of oil paint.
